Just a note to say how impressed I am with the effect the Enviro-Save Metal Treatment has had on my truck.
Within the first hour of operation I began to notice a change in the way the engine was pulling and the gear changes became smoother.
Over the course of that first trip from Perth to Adelaide, a distance of 2750 kilometres one way, the truck seemed to keep on improving.
During the daytime the ambient temperature on this run can reach almost 50C. The gear box, diff and engine oil temperatures are a concern for this type of long distance run with a constant high average speed, pulling a road train grossing 80T. We noticed a significant drop in temperature (15-25C) in all of these components and the average load factor on the Caterpillar engine dropped 8-10%, saving us about the same % in fuel.
Over time we have also been very happy to note that the oil analysis, which is part of our regular servicing program, has shown a reduction in wear with the levels reducing steadily over the first 4 or 5 service intervals and remaining low.
This unit had covered 1.4 million kilometres when we treated it and has now done 1.85 million kilometres without a major rebuild or component change. Normally, I would be retiring a truck that does this type of work at 1.4 million kilometres and this one is still going strong. We have never bee able to achieve those sorts of numbers before.
I have since treated all of my trailer wheel bearings, as they are a problem also in this type of heat, and have not had a failure to date.
All of my vehicles, company and private, even my Harley Davidson's have now had the Enviro Save Treatment applied and I have seen an improvement in all of them.

We purchased Enviro-Save Metal Treatment for our two trucks from you about four years ago. A 2000 Freightliner and a 2002 Freightliner. The 2000 truck had a water loss and didn't know were it was going. The transmission was hard to shift when it was cold, come to find out the transmission was full with water (antifreeze) with the Enviro-Save in it. We dumped it out, washed it out added new oil and transmission coolant and it works fine to this day.
My 2002 truck had the same trouble as the 2000 and we did the same to it.
It was about March 9, 2009 the transmission on my 2002 started heating to 325 degrees in Seattle, WA. I checked the oil level which was full. I drove it home to St. Thomas, ON at a very high temperature. We pulled the transmission out and replaced only the pump. We put the transmission back in and it's just like new!
I highly recommend Enviro-Save! I have it in my Thermo King units as well.

It appears that Enviro-Save Metal Treatment is getting some attention. Due to the letter I gave you back in 1993, I have been receiving phone calls from other interested trucking related industries. Therefore, I feel this follow up letter may be helpful because I am often difficult to get in touch with.
Since 1986 I have been treating my highway tractor units and reefers. Our average run out lifetime of the tractor has jumped from 1,200,000 km to around 2,400,000 km. I usually then sell or trade the still operational units.
I have never had to replace bearings in a transmission or differential in a unit that has been treated.
On all the treated trucks that we have monitored, we have experienced a savings in fuel of 1 to 1.5 mpg. This is a substantial amount considering we keep the trucks over 2,400,000 km.
The one time treatment is considerably more cost effective than allowing the truck to become inoperative because it reduces the time in which revenue will be lost.
I have no reservations in recommending Enviro-Save Metal Treatment because of the success we have experienced since our first use in 1996.

Recently, we inframe a 550 hp Cat engine with 1.5 million kms. The mechanic couldn't believe his eyes, the bearings and liner look almost new - the wear was very minimal. Also, differentials last for over two mission kms. and transmissions over a million before rebuilding back ends.

I am writing this letter to tell about an incident that happened after I used your product. I had put the product in four of my company diesel vehicles early in the year. The vehicle that I drive is a 2007 Ford F350.
I was running low one morning in mid-March on the way to work in the morning, but knowing my truck had to make a run to Fort St. John later that morning, I decided to wait and let the yard guy fill it before heading out to Fort St. John. When I parked the truck at work the computer showed 84 km to empty. I dispatched the yard guy to Fort St. John and told him he would have to fuel the truck.
He proceeded to the Esso station (7 Eleven) and, inadvertently, put 112 liters of gas into my diesel truck. He drove to Fort St. John AND BACK thinking, boy this truck is running rough. When he got back to the office he told us the truck was really running rough and wondered what grade of fuel we normally used because he just filled it with REGULAR. We checked the fuel receipt and sure enough he had filled it with gas.
We immediately called the tow truck and had the truck towed to Capital Motors. They told me that after running that much with gas in it that it would probably need all new injectors and pump with the possibility of a new motor. They told me that a truck had come in the previous week with the same problem, however, that truck had been driven less time than mine had and it had cost the individual approximately $5,000.00 to repair. Capital said they would work on my truck right away and let me know.
Later on that day I received from Capital advising that they had drained the fuel out and put in new filters and the truck had started right up and seemed to be running fine. He had sent the mechanic out on a test drive twice because they could not believe there was no damage. They said to take it home and see how it ran.
I talked to Alvin Stedel, the Enviro-Save rep and he gave me some extra product for the motor and fuel system. I added this product and have been running my truck for 6 weeks now since that incident and the truck has not missed a beat.
I credit the fact that I was using Enviro-Save in my truck when this incident happened. Otherwise, I cannot explain why the truck would even continue to run while being driven to Fort St. John and back while filled with gasoline. That is approximately 172 km.
Since using the Enviro-Save product, I have noticed an increase of approximately 100 km more mileage per tank of fuel and the truck runs quieter. I believe this product has save me a lot of money and I will most definitely continue to use this product.

My business is installing gas appliances for consumers and home owners throughout the Vancouver area and lower mainland, hence I do a lot of driving with my fully loaded 1999 Ford E350 service van. The raised roof, appliances and all my equipment make for a heavy vehicle and my gas mileage wasn't impressive and since my previous experience with Enviro-Save Metal Treatment was very positive to both wallet and vehicle I purchased the 899100 Powertrain Protection Kit for my van.
After treating my E350 it immediately began running smoother, improvement in performance and a minimum of 11% fuel savings. The boost in gas mileage, performance and smoother shifting certainly convinced me that the treatment will also increase the life of my van. i know there will be less of a chance of my mechanical damage or costly repairs and I enjoy saving company time, money and the headache of any breakdowns in the long run.
The Ford E350 owner's manual calls for oil changes every 5,000 kms, however, after treating I checked the oil and it was so clean my mechanic told me that I still didn't need a regular oil change yet. Oil doesn't wear out, it just gets contaminated and everyone I know that has used Enviro-Save comments about how their oil stays cleaner longer. So now I do regular oil changes every 7,500 kms and may increase that to 10,000 kms after checking oil conditions at 7500 kms by having an oil sample analysis done.
Enviro-Save is a great preventive maintenance product for my vehicle, economy, performance, longevity and it helps reduce global pollution in several ways. I just bought a jeep and will be buying a kit for it very soon. Thanks for the savings!

Hi Alvin,
I would like to tell you about what we have experienced so far since beginning to use Enviro-Save Metal Treatment last summer. I treated my Bombardier Asphalt Drag sled and went from 9.9 quarter mile run down to 9.59 at 138 mph. During treatment, my run time decreased each time I made a pass, unbelievable to pick up that much power with such a small expense.
Then we treated my wife's 2005 F350 4x4 diesel. She really likes this truck and want to keep it for as long as possible. It now starts easier in the cold, noticeably rolls easier and on our last trip from Calgary we picked up 18% in fuel savings.
Since then we have treated some of our Caterpillar equipment, C242 skid steers, 330 DL excavators, D6N and D9R crawlers, 725 rock trucks, service trucks and a T800 tri-drive with twin steering pumps.
A few things have stood out so far. The C242 skidsteers start much easier. The excavators and service truck hydraulics work very smooth, even in -40c. One cold morning there was a lot of frost built up on the lift cylinders of the 330 excavators. The frost on the 2008 330 DL unit with treated hydraulic rams could almost be blown off and on the untreated units I had to rub fairly hard to remove it. I like to remove this so that the wipers do not get damaged. the frost came off of the treated cylinders so easy, I don't think it would damage the wiper/seals. The 725 rock trucks run noticeably quieter than those that are not treated. All you can really hear is the engine, the drive line noise (wear) is greatly diminished. The 2007 T800 tri-drive takes less effort to steer and there is a fuel savings. I am not sure how much yet, but I recently picked up some equipment and made the return trip without requiring additional fuel. This never happened before. Also we have picked up 1/2 gear on the hills we normally travel on.
So far we believe that the Enviro-Save Treatment is saving us money. We will be treating all of the equipment we own. Some of our equipment experiences rare usage, but we want to get the protection from corrosion that Enviro-Save offers.
I know I have told you this before, and it took us a long time to use Enviro-Save, but i do not understand why everyone with equipment and vehicles are not using this product.

Hi Alvin,
We have treated a few units over this summer with Enviro-Save Metal Treatment. A D8N Cat, 772D John Deer Grader, Engine and hydraulics on a Versatile, a few vehicles and a 21007 IHC Tandem with 550 hp Cat engine. We also treated the wheel bearings on the tri-axle cattle liner that this truck pulls.
So far we are very pleased. We had treated a suburban several years ago while we were still in our old colony (South Peace) and we put over 500,000 km on it and then sold it. We still see it running around Dawson Creek. Who knows how many miles it has on it now.
The 2007 IHC makes regular trips to Red Deer hauling livestock. It is a return trip of 1564 km. the average fuel consumption was 815L., Since treating the power train and the trailer bearings our average is only 745 L. That is a decrease in fuel consumption of 80 L. ($70.00) per trip (from 5.196 to 5.67 mpg) about 9%. We know Enviro-Save saves fuel and the reason it saves fuel is because there is less wear.
Near as we can tell, everything you have told us about Enviro-Save is true. We plan to treat other units.

Dear Warren,
It has been over 20 years since we began using Enviro-Save Metal Treatment in our vehicles and road construction equipment. Our company Greenbelt Excavating has been handling our contracts over the past few years. The dollar savings have been huge from treating our vehicles, excavators, rock trucks, dozers etc..with Enviro-Save and I wanted to inform you about the following situation that amazed us.
Three years ago we treated our Volvo 25 ton 6 wheel off road rock trucks and abut 2 years ago one was working on site and all of a sudden the engine RPM increased and it began billowing black smoke like an old coal train. The operator turned the key off but the engine but the engine kept screaming way over the governed RPM with black smoke everywhere. The seal on the intake side of the turbo had blown son it was running on engine oil being pumped to the turbo bearing and then into the air intake. The engine ran like that until there was no more oil in the crankcase to feed the engine. After it finally stopped we only got 1 1/2 liters of oil when we drained the oil pan, takes 25 liters to fill it. My son was going to to call Volvo to see if they had another engine and when I said it had been treated with Enviro-Save and we are only going to change the turbo, everyone thought that I was nuts. That was about 2 years ago and today the Volvo is still running perfectly and doesn't use any oil. The cost to protect engines, hydraulics and drivelines with Enviro-Save is insignificant when component life is doubled (magnetic oil plugs show no metal) and the fuel savings.
A few years ago one of our treated excavators was backed off the working pads when working in a bog and the machine sat vertical and ran until it quit. Enviro-Save also saved us a bunch of money that time.
Our first Dodge diesel pickup truck, a 1996, was treated when it was brand new and today it has over 500,000 kilometres on it and no repairs to the engine, automatic transmissions, differentials or fuel injection system. It doesn't use a drop of oil and gets good fuel mileage for the road construction application.
We tell others about Enviro-Save but so many people are brainwashed by the equipment manufacturers and oil companies to think there is nothing available that works, other than their profit motivated recommendations. Enviro-Save has saved us a pile of money over the past 20 years

THE PRODUCT

Experience with this type of product shows that emission reduction as high as 50% in hydrocarbons and 30% in carbon dioxide can be achieved depending on the mechanical condition of the engine before treatment.
FUEL SAVINGS
Enviro-Save Metal Treatment reduces fuel consumption. Test results on cars treated with the Powertrain Protection Kit have shown reductions in fuel consumption of 10% - some higher; new engines will return the lowest figures because the will still be operating near maximum cylinder efficiency. Older engines will exhibit the highest benefit as the treatment restores lost cylinder efficiency.
Fuel savings depend on how the vehicle is driven; for example if you continue to drive at your normal pace you will save fuel due to the higher mechanical efficiency of the vehicle. However, a driver who takes advantage of the improved performance of the powertrain for faster acceleration and/or speed will not see the same fuel savings. Such is the experience of the race driver, who will be only happy to use the faster acceleration.
REDUCED WEAR/LONGER LIFE
Enviro-Save Metal Treatment reduces wear. A 50% reduction in wear rates is common, but this can vary with service hours/distance on the unit treated. Oil sampling before and after treatment will show the reduction in wear-metal content by analysis.
(To obtain truly comparative results, it is very important to be consistent in the service hours/mileage on the sample oil and in the method of extracting the oil sample. The best method for obtaining true, representative samples is to always, take them when the oil is hot and the engine is running; this requires a special sampling valve to be fitted in an oil pressure point, or the use of a portable sampling pump for extracting directly from the pump via the dipstick tube).
INCREASED HORSEPOWER/PERFORMANCE
Enviro-Save Metal Treatment improves power output from engines in two ways: 1) by reducing friction horsepower and 2) by restoring engine output through recovery compression.
Dynamo meter tests performed by race car owners after treatment confirm that an increase of 10% in horsepower is common.
As operating time increases on engines, wear particles and dirt such as carbon, varnish and dust, accumulate n cylinder walls, rings and ring grooves. This will eventually lead to blowby and reduced compression.
Enviro-Save Engine Treatment has a very effective cleaner which will clean out and disperse these deposits. As the ring grooves are cleaned and the treatment progresses, blowby is reduced, and compression restored or normalise. Balanced compression improve efficiency.
Enviro-Save Engine Treatment often shows its effects by an increase in idle RPM, this is due to less friction throughout the engine, and normalised compression. However, higher idle RPM will normally only be experienced on carburetor-equipment engines; on fuel injected diesel and gas engines, the governor or computer control idle speed at a fixed RPM.
Many racing drivers have also experienced an advantageous increase in top end RPM.

LOWER OPERATING TEMPERATURES
Enviro-Save Metal Treatment reduces the heat passing into the cooling system due to lower cylinder wall friction and less fuel being burned.
Similarly, by friction reduction it reduces the heat passing into the lubricating oil, as indicated by temperature gauges in transmissions, gears, bearing housings and air cooled engines.
However, in engines and machinery when the coolant and/or the lubricating oil temperatures is thermostatically controlled, it is necessary to record the temperature rise across each system in order to assess friction heat reduction.
DRY START PROTECTION
The highest wear rates in engines occur during cold start up and during the first few minutes of running; in this period over 80% of wear takes place until lubricating oil has reached the extremities of the lubricating system. However, Enviro-Save Metal Treatment provides a resident dry lubricant on all bearing surfaces, ensuring lubrication and protection at all times which reduces wear rates considerably.
REDUCED OIL CONSUMPTION
Enviro-Save Engine Treatment normally reduces oil consumption, sometimes by as much as 50%. However, the benefit would not normally be felt in a previously overheated or high wear engine where oil consumption is due to excessive clearances at piston rings, and valve seals or other mechanical damage.
Enviro-Save is not a "cure-all-in-a-can"
Normal oil consumption takes place due to oil burning. This occurs mainly at the upper end of the cylinder when oil trapped in the pore structure of the cylinder walls and around the upper piston rings and grooves is exposed to the heat from combustion.
When the Enviro-Save Engine Treatment is established, the oil retaining porous surface finish has become a resin filled structure offering a smooth surface with low oil retention thus preventing less oil to combustion heat.
Oil consumption is also improved by the release of sticking piston rings, achieved by the cleaning action of the treatment.
STORAGE/CORROSION PROTECTION
Enviro-Save Metal Treatment provides protection beyond most lubricants, against corrosion damage on bearing surfaces caused by moisture, air or acids. It provides excellent off season protection where equipment is idle or is stored for long periods.
EASIER STARTING
Enviro-Save Engine Treatment will enable an engine to turn over more easily and faster. The starter will use less cranking power thus be starter, motor, battery and alternator, especially in cold climates.

This product is designed to reduce friction /wear in Gas/Propane?CNG engines, and consists of micro-resin, suspended in a cleaner/carrier. The product is proportional for the crankcase and fuel system/top end to ensure that treatment is distributed to all metal bearing surfaces of the engine's moving parts.
GAS ENGINE - 2 STROKE
This treatment is specially designed for all 2 stroke engines, ie. outboards, motorcycles, snow machines, weed eaters, lawn mowers, water pumps, etc.. and is applied via the fuel or fuel/oil mixture, so that top end and bottom end bearing surfaces are treated. DIESEL ENGINE TREATMENT
This product is designed to reduce friction/wear in all diesel engines. It is a two part treatment technically formulated to match the higher component stresses in diesel engines.
